Chartwell
is located approximately 2 miles south of Westerham village and 2.5 miles from
NRG Paintball. Chartwell was Winston and Clementine Churchill's family home for
over 40 years. They purchased it in 1922, the year in which their fifth child
was born. It was given to the National Trust in 1946 and opened to visitors in
1966 - the year after Churchill's death at the age of 90.
