Resistance 1940:
NRG
Paintball and the Kent Rangers are delighted to announce that the
sequel to "Invasion 1940" will be held at NRG Paintball on the weekend
of 24th August 2008. The game is named 'Resistance 1940' and is a direct
sequel from successful Invasion 1940 game run in the summer of 2007
[www.invasion1940.co.uk] Resistance 1940 moves the historic scenario to
the autumn of 1940. Having overcome the initial shock of the German
invasion and occupation, the British steel themselves to overthrow their
German occupiers. Will the British be successful or will the Germans
repeat the success of their initial invasion?
NRG
paintball is situated between Sir Winston Churchill's historic Chartwell
home and the position of the 'GHQ' line from where London's defence
would have been undertaken in 1940. The game aims to recreate what may
have happened had the Germans successfully occupied Britain after a
successful invasion in the summer of 1940.
Players
will represent either British or German forces. The game is formatted
into a series of hour long point scoring ‘dynamic’ scenarios. Depending
on the result of a scenario, one of several different subsequent
scenarios will be played. This allows players and commanders to seize
the initiative and allows the game to break away from a linear script
whereby events happen at certain times irrespective of the state of
play. The whole of the game field will be in play for each scenario with
players being able to take advantage of the many buildings and vehicles
present at NRG. New areas of the field are being used for Resistance
1940, building upon the great success of Invasion 1940 but introducing
new and exciting elements.
