Scenario Format Resistance 1940 consists of a series of 'dynamic scenarios'. Each scenario contains a number of points scoring objectives, some of which involve holding physical locations, others which relate to capturing key items or VIPs. Depending on the result of each mission or the overall score, different scenarios will be played to reflect the position of the 'campaign'. Scenario Flow
Physical Locations Before each scenario, platoon commanders will be briefed as to the points value of fixed physical locations on the map. Points are calculated at the end of the scenario by which team’s flag is flying at the end of the scenario in each of the designated points. Some objectives will be in the hands of various teams at the start of each scenario; others will be neutral. Example Location Points Owner at Start of Scenario Tower 1 1 [British] Bridge 1 [German] H Bunker 1 [German] Tower 2 1 [German] Fort 1 [German] Stockade 1 [German] Village 1 [British] Panzerlaager Bravo 1 [German] Panzerlaager Charlie 1 [German] Alpha Base 1 [British]
VIPs Both teams have VIPs: Alfred and Bertie for the British, General von Klinkerhoffen and King Edward VIII for the Germans. These VIPs will consist of mannequin dummies rather than human players. Both VIPs will begin each scenario in a defined location. The opposing team can score points by either:
Example Alfred Shot 3 [to Germans] Alfred Captured 5 [to Germans] Alfred Missing 1 [to Germans]
Edward VIII Shot 3 [to British] Edward VIII Captured 5 [to British] Edward VIII Missing 1 [to British]
Scenario Items Certain scenarios will involve point scoring items - radar jammers, anti-tank rocket launchers etc. The role of these will be explained at the start of each scenario. e.g. Broadcast Unit present in fort at end of game and Fort in British hands 5 [to British]
Broadcast unit placed in Central tower of fort at any Point 1 [to British]
Germans in possession of Broadcast equipment at game End 3 [to Germans]
Sniper Section Each side has a designated sniper section. This section is allowed to exit their respective safe zone 5 minutes before the start of each mission and are allowed to walk the length of the field
